When memories start to fade, you realise just how important each and every one is. My dad, Larry, passed away from Lewy Body dementia this year. For three years we watched him bravely fight against this devastating disease. We laughed, cried, danced and most importantly through it all, we made memories we'll treasure forever.

My father was the best dad you could ever have. He was a kind, smart, thoughtful, big hearted old school gentleman. He was the kind of person that always had an epic one-liner of a joke in his back pocket, gave the biggest hugs and would always stop in the middle of the street to pat a neighbouring cat. Together as a family, we tried everything to win the race against this disease. We lost our battle but we hope we can help another family win theirs by supporting the groundbreaking research and approach of Race Against Dementia.

Together, we would like to celebrate life and the memories you hold nearest by  engraving your favourite memory on a Sterling silver ornament.  Cast from a ginkgo leaf from the tree at our family home, we chose the ginkgo leaf as a symbol of strength, endurance and hope that can be returned to your tree year after year.

For each ornament sold we will donate 50 CHF/ £50 / $50 USD to Race Against Dementia.

This is for Larry.

This is for your friend, your grandma, your uncle and next door neighbour. This is for the 1 in 3 of us that will one day be faced with one or another form of dementia. I hope in those hard moments we all choose to face dementia head on and have treatment options that can help us. By working together we can make a difference. We hope that you will join us in remembering the moments that matter most and the race to to find a cure.
